Fungal colourants
 

Excited to participate in a colourful project together with Phytonext and the Avans Center of Expertise Biobased Economy (CoE BBE).

Every day we come into contact with various colours and their importance. We are very sensitive to a colourful world. Nowadays these colours are mainly produced in a synthetic manner. Unfortunately many of these colourants are dangerous for the well-being or environment.

​

In this project we aim to replace these colourants with a sustainable alternative with attention for ecology. This will be obtained by using pigment producing fungi!
